The extension, valued at about A$180-million, continues Perenti subsidiary Barminco’s role in delivering underground development, production and support services for Regis Resources.
The original alliance agreement between the parties was announced in April 2024 with a three-year term, including provisions for rolling 12-month extensions.
The latest extension reflects what the companies described as strong operational and safety performance under the existing contract, as well as a long-standing working relationship. Importantly, Perenti noted that no additional growth capital is required under the extension.
“This extension reflects the strength of our long-standing relationship with Regis and the consistent performance delivered by our team at Duketon. We value the collaborative approach between our organisations and look forward to continuing to work together to deliver safe and productive outcomes,” commented Perenti MD and CEO Mark Norwell.
President of contract mining Gabrielle Iwanow added that the alliance model provided planning certainty for both parties.
